I took this picture going up the stairs at the Park Street train station when I got to Boston, after I left the Women’s Center this morning.

This was a difficult picture to edit.  If you’re going to take a picture of the back of someone’s shirt, you have to be behind the person to do it.  If the person is in front of you going up stairs, the person’s butt usually makes an appearance in the picture, unless you are on the step or steps right below the person, which can be dangerous.  I’ve had people try to grab my phone, or grab me, when they know that I’m trying to take their picture.

When I tried to edit his butt out of the picture, the picture looked like this, which I didn’t think was a respectful improvement:
