The song that I’m listening now to doesn’t describe my style of dealing with Relationship Pain; I’m sure that there have been people in my dating past who would have much preferred it if it had.

Sometimes I feel that it’s a good idea to give additional reminders about my music policies, or to make more explanations, or to explain what I’m thinking or not thinking about a particular song, and sometimes I do that because I feel like it or I think that there’s something funny about my explanation.  When I don’t do that, it’s because I expect people to have read my music policies and other pages that I’ve written about listening to music, and I don’t feel the need to do so.

For example; the song that I started listening to today and about which I first wrote this page was one for which I didn’t know who had sung it.  I’d heard the song before, and never knew whose it was until I’d brought it up on YouTube.  I flinched when I saw the name of the person whose song it is, and then I listened to it because I like the song.

I don’t owe explanations for what I listen to on the Internet; when I make them, it’s because I want to and not because I think that I should have to.
