I went to Whole Foods yesterday morning, the one that’s on the street which is unfortunately called River Street.  When I went to the bathroom, a female employee followed me into the bathroom with a broom and a dustpan.  I’m not sure how much English she spoke.

I stood there and talked to her for a few minutes.  I don’t know if she understand that I was being sarcastic while I smiled and said “You’re here to try to imply that I’m dirty,” because she smiled and laughed and said “Yes.”

Maybe she thought that I didn’t mind that she was there, because she followed me from one place to another in the store, sweeping behind me.  I finally told her to leave me alone.  She got upset and called another employee over, whom I asked to tell me who and where the manager was.

When I talked to the manager, he said “She has a predetermined route that she has to follow.”  I told him “You’re lying to me, and you know it.”  He said “Why would I lie to you?”

Why WOULD he?  “Why” is a good question about everything that the conglomerate does and that it causes to happen.

I’ve tried before to tell staff there that I don’t want employees with brooms and dustpans following me around the store.  Also, almost every time that I go to the bakery section, there are employees in front of it, stocking it.  They wait until I’m going to be there before they decide to be in front of it, so that I have to get whatever I’m going to get by asking them to move first?  That’s not even to mention the Wet Floor signs where they shouldn’t be: in front of wine displays, in front of the fish counter, next to the first stall in the restroom, in the front entrance, to name a few.  It’s also not to mention everything in the store which is in support of the various things on the conglomerate’s agenda; they seem particularly fond

I can feel the joke wanting to happen.  It’s a child molestation joke, which is meant to make fun of child molesters and not the situation, which isn’t funny at all.  Here’s the joke:

particularly fondle, I mean, fond, of the child molestation issue, to the point of even having things showing coded support for child pornography prominently displayed.
